Before we get into the Rich & Kitch proposal story, we want to say congratulations to the soon-to-be engaged couples! This is such an exciting time in your life! When your significant other proposes to you, we recommend taking it all in. You may see the proposal coming or you may be totally surprised, or the proposal may be extravagant or low-key in the comfort of your home. However the engagement happens, the whole point of saying yes to forever is amazing, so celebrate with your future spouse & your loved ones!

RICH & KITCH'S PROPOSAL STORY
Richie planned an epic proposal during one of our trips to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had a dinner reservation at El Farallon (located at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal) which is one of the most romantic restaurants in Cabo. We had an early reservation so we could see the sunset, and we went to the resort to walk around beforehand since the entire resort is breathtaking.
When we got to the restaurant, the manager offered to take us to the “perfect picture spot” which was down some stairs into the rocks on the cliff of Pedregal. When we got to the bottom of the rocks, Richie got down on one knee, asked me to marry him (I said yes, of course!), & he had a photographer capturing our special moment! After the proposal, a waiter brought us champagne & we got to take our engagement photos!
When it was time for our dinner reservation, my parents met us at the restaurant, and we enjoyed the evening celebrating our engagement. Everything about the proposal was perfect, including my ring! Richie knew the shape of diamond I wanted since my mom also has a pear, but he did an amazing job picking out the perfect diamond & setting with our jewelers at Peter & Co based in Avon Lake, Ohio. The way Richie proposed to me was better than I ever could have dreamt it to be. I may have given him hints that I wanted to get engaged in Cabo (just in case we didn’t have a destination wedding there) but he went above & beyond! We had also been together for over 5 years at this point, so it’s safe to say he knew what I would like. As wedding coaches, we think talking about getting engaged with one another is important, because it is a life long commitment. However, if you rather be totally surprised, that is great, too! We know your engagement will be amazing & we are so excited for you!
