Kitchen is my maiden name & kitchensinkit was my dad’s basketball nickname which I thought was catchy when Instagram came out. After we got married, we decided to start a business together. Since I wanted to hang onto my last name as much as possible, Richie agreed to keep KITCHENSINKIT as our business name. At the time, we didn’t know the exact direction we were going to take our business so the “kitchen sink” of everything we were passionate about made sense. Now we’re a few years in with a much clearer direction, but we’re sticking with the uniqueness of kitchensinkit!
